Bath’s First Ever Prosecco Festival
3 February 2018
Are you a big fan of the bubbly stuff? Better book yourself in for a November stay in Bath then!
If you visit Bath on a regular basis then you’ll probably already know that Bath hosts a fantastic range of festivals throughout the year. Bath Literature Festival, Bath Music Festival, Bath Festival of Nature, the Bath Carnival, Bath Bach Festival Bath Mozart Festival, Bath Food Festival... We could go on. In fact, this year will be the 70th anniversary of Bath Festivals, and so a 17 day multi-arts festival will take place to celebrate from the 11th of May to the 27th of May! But more on that festival in a later blog.
This blog is all about the exciting news that this is the first year that Bath will host the UK’s first dedicated Prosecco festival. The festival, which will come to Bath this November and take place on the 9th and 10th at Bath Pavilion, will give attendees the chance to sample more than forty different types of Prosecco and fizz. These will include Spumante, Cava, Brut, Pink Fizz and Prosecco cocktails. Though there will also be an Italian Peroni area for those who prefer a lager.
To make sure that there aren’t any queues, the bars will work on a token, no-cash system. Each token (which can be purchased from any of the dedicated token points at the Pavilion) costs £5 and can be swapped for any drink.
As well as the delicious drinks, there will be live music from a floor-filler band and, naturally, a dancefloor to be filled. There will also be a great array of Italian street foods to accompany the fizz. Homemade meatballs and delicious calzone are two of the top recommendations. The festival will have vegetarian and gluten-free options available.
Entry to the festival is £12.50 and includes festival access – to the bars, entertainment and food areas, a branded wristband, and a branded Prosecco flute to hold onto and refill at regular intervals.
The majority of the other venue cities have sold out, and according to a spokesperson for the festival, Bath’s tickets are going fast. So if you want to join us for Bath’s first Prosecco Festival this November, now is the time to book.
