New Rules Mean A New Holiday!
23 June 2020
Good news! Following the Prime Minister’s announcement today about reduced social distancing rules and restrictions on the hospitality sector, we’re able to stay in hotels and get a much-needed holiday! We can once again welcome our beloved guests back to Dukes!
The new rules state that hotels, bed and breakfasts, libraries, places of worship, bars, pubs, cinemas, museums and galleries can all reopen on July 4th – next weekend. atres and concert halls will also be able to show recorded shows, but not live shows.
There has been talk of restaurants only being able to open if they have space for outdoor dining, but it has been announced that they can reopen indoors and outdoors with the “one metre plus” new social distancing rule, and other measurements such as table-only service.
With Bath being such a hub for good restaurants, we’re really looking forward to visiting some of our old favourites. These are just a few that we can really recommend you pay a visit to when you’re able to come and stay with us in Bath again at long last!
Menu Gordon Jones – Locally sourced, fine dining with the very best ingredients.
Sotto Sotto – An Italian and Mediterranean restaurant in a gorgeous setting.
The Circus Restaurant – An Italian and British restaurant which was voted number four in The Times “Twenty secret restaurants that foodies love”.
Another new rule announced today is that people will be able to meet one other household at a time indoors with social distancing. This is where our exclusive use for family reunions comes in.
Dukes resides within two wonderful Georgian townhouses in the heart of Bath, and we are delighted to offer you and your family exclusive use of one or both of these Grade I listed townhouses. This includes cooked to order premium breakfasts, an exclusive door entrance, dedicated concierge service, and a majestic family dining room seating sixteen people, as well as much more.
