Visit Bath For A Family Reunion
12 May 2020

On this Sunday just passed, Sunday May 10th, Boris Johnson outlined his plans for easing lockdown. In his statement he may not have set out definitive dates for when all businesses will be open for sure, but with a view to certain sectors of the hospitality industry being able to reopen again in July, we’ve been looking ahead.

One of the hardest things about lockdown has been not being able to see our families. Whether it’s been not being able to go and visit aunts and uncles who live far away, or whether it’s been not even being able to see parents or children who live close by – there’s been a definite hole in our lives from not seeing them. That got us to thinking about what we could do to help families spend more quality time together once we are reopened. This is where the exclusive use of Dukes for 2020 family reunions comes in.

Dukes is established in two conjoined Georgian townhouses in the heart of Bath. As such we have the ability to divide Dukes neatly in two so that you and your family can have exclusive use of one or, if you have a larger family reunion planned, both of our Grade 1 listed townhouses.

We can offer eight boutique bedrooms, an entrance door for your family’s exclusive use, a dedicated concierge service, cooked-to-order premium breakfasts, use of our on-street parking permits for the duration of your stay, a well-stocked bar, a courtyard garden, and a majestic family dining room for your family’s private use during your stay at Dukes. This means that you can relax as soon as you enter Dukes; knowing that your family is safe in their private reunion space.

We can also help by, through prior agreement, providing pre-dinner drinks, afternoon tea, and ordered meals from Bath’s many fabulous restaurants. This means you can sample the best of gourmet Bath with your family, without worrying about the logistics of social distancing in a restaurant.

But what if things change at the last minute?

Well, we know that the uncertainty we’re currently in makes planning a holiday difficult. If lockdown is reinstated suddenly, will you lose all the money you’ve spent on your upcoming holiday? It’s a question that would make anyone think twice – no matter how much they want to plan a family reunion to look forward to.

At Dukes we want to make sure that you don’t have to worry about a thing. Should the situation change suddenly, you can rest easy knowing that we have a free 48-hours prior cancellation policy.

Allow us to help blow away recent memories and refill your heart with the pleasures of a cheerful, family reunion in a magnificent, memorable location with a rich historical backdrop.
