Explore Bath

Bath is a fantastic, ever-changing City with a huge amount to offer. Below we have highlighted some of our favourite 'things to do' whilst visiting the City.

Bath Rugby Club

Stay at Dukes Bath - located on the same road as Bath Rugby Club

The celebratory roar as tens of thousands loyal Bath City supporters embrace their heroes is heart warming. As close neighbours we tingle with the pulse of the match, kick off, the first try and the final whistle send out ripples of delight and anguish.

Possible the oldest rugby football club in England, founded in 1865, the team regularly play in ‘the rec’ or more formally the Recreational Ground. As a ‘rugby city’ Bath unites with passion and excitement, growing tension reverberates through the Georgian veins of the city streets. The final whistle sees waves of dedicated fans, family and friends pour onto Great Pulteney Street. Often with glee, never remorse, impassioned fans flow past our doors.

Please join us, with a group or a loved one and share in the joys of club rugby. A weekend break in our bed and breakfast enjoying a superb match, a great night out and a relaxing overnight stay will feed your soul. We are happy to assist with booking match tickets and after match dinner recommendations and offer a warm welcome on your return.
